Description
This vibrant acrylic on canvas by Cabrini Demesmin captures the radiant serenity of a Caribbean coastline, where wind-swept palm trees lean gracefully toward turquoise waters. Painted in Demesmin’s refined realist style, the composition draws the viewer along a sweeping shoreline, with rolling waves lapping softly against sunlit sand. A small fishing boat floats near the water’s edge, while distant sails glide across the horizon, evoking the quiet rhythm of island life. The artist’s mastery is evident in the luminous atmosphere and crisp color transitions—from deep ocean blues to shimmering aquamarines, and from bright coastal light to cool shadows beneath the palms. The diagonal perspective creates depth and movement, while the natural curve of the beach leads the eye into the distant mountains, suggesting both vastness and tranquility. Demesmin’s seascapes celebrate Haiti’s enduring relationship with the sea, reflecting themes of livelihood, escape, and natural beauty. This work is an elegant example of contemporary Haitian marine painting, offering collectors a timeless and immersive vision of Caribbean light and landscape.Acrylic on canvas, 20 x 24 inches. Signed. Unframed. Certificate of Authenticity issued by Myriam Nader Haitian Art Gallery.
