A self-taught Haitian painter, he began his artistic career in 1966 and joined the Centre d'Art in 1973, where his work gained recognition both in Haiti and internationally. Marcelin is best known for his vibrant tropical landscapes and lush jungle scenes, distinguished by rich greens, brilliant yellows, and a masterful use of light.
