Description
Description
Joseph Jean-Gilles renders a panoramic view of the Haitian countryside, a winding river cutting through terraced hillsides thick with cultivated greenery, as farmers move along a dirt path carrying baskets of harvest on their heads. Bare seasonal trees line the distant ridge against a soft dusk sky, grounding the scene in a specific time of day and season. The composition reflects Jean-Gilles' meticulous, layered approach to landscape, built up in fine detail from foreground foliage to the misty horizon. This piece comes from a private collection in Florida and is in good condition. We will provide a Certificate of Authenticity.
